Recently I painted a similar but large(http://annawypych.pl/?p=673). Blacks and nuances in the shadows are probably the hardest to master when painting, comparing whites and contrasts are easy. Interesting is also comparing of face too large, scaled,which I want to paint looked like a normal size, and too little that you need to paint with a magnifying glass to get sufficient accuracy.
